Are you a new Christian struggling to memorize scripture? Or maybe you’re not sure which scriptures to memorize.

Maybe the thought of memorizing large passages of scripture seems impossible. Why not start small and build your faith one small scripture at a time?

I have rounded up 13 easy bible verses you can memorize in your free time. These verses will help you strengthen and grow your faith.

Without further ado here are the 13 scriptures:

About Salvation:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16, NIV).

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9, HCSB).

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV).

About Forgiveness of Sins:

So I confessed my sins and told them all to you. I said, “I’ll tell the LORD each one of my sins.” Then you forgave me and took away my guilt (Psalm 32:5, CEV).

But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression (Psalms 19:12-14).

When We Have Fear and Doubt:

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment (2 Tim 1:7, CSB).

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6, CSB).

I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me (Philippians 4:13, KJV).

When We Struggle With Temptation:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:10-11, NIV).

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7, BSB).

When Our Thoughts Are Out of Control:

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer (Psalms 19:12-14).

Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don’t ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise (Philippians 4:8, CEV).

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5, KJV).
